Blanca Loera, President and Owner of C&L, says perhaps it was destiny that brought her into the plumbing supply business. Her Dad started the company in 1972. Blanca came in to help him with secretarial duties. Dad became gravely ill with a diabetic coma and she stayed on to help run the business while he was ill. Dad passed away at the young age of 46 and Mom told Blanca she had a month to see if she could run things. Blanca’s husband had worked for Dad and between them they kept the business afloat. It’s still going strong 35 years later.

Blanca says one of the pluses is serving generations of families and learning everything from the ground up. Seeing your employees and customers through the years as they age with you and celebrate your successes is very rewarding. The only hands-on woman in the plumbing supply business, Blanca is occupied 24/7. She balances time between work and family. Blanca and her husband are parents of three daughters and grandparents of eight children. Her Daily Mission is “To keep things going for the family.” A spiritual person, Blanca says faith has kept her going in the right direction. She was a recent recipient of a prestigious award recognizing her generous service to the community.

Smiling, Blanca said her goal is to retire and leave a good image in the industry. There’s no doubt she has already met and exceeded that goal.
